A duo of panels, inspired by everyone’s favorite Rock’Em Sock’Em Robots toy. It was a great way to get out some childhood angst. My babysitter’s son had one but I’d always knock his block off, so he didn’t want to play anymore. For these paintings I did an undercoating of the opponent’s color on each one and scratched letters and pictures through the yellow layer for an extra added element. I also added a 3D boxing ring and used metal hardware to complete the look.
