The way this painting came about was kind of funny. A gallery owner had seen another rabbit-looking-melancholy painting of mine and really liked it. I wasn’t willing to part with it, mostly because it was an older piece and didn’t really reflect my most recent work. So, I secretly decided to try a modern version of it in my current style. Well... I ended up hating it! So much so that I f&cked it up on purpose! But... what that allowed me to do was be braver and take more risks, because I let go of being tied to the outcome in my head and went with how I felt instead. That’s how this became Finding My Inner Kindergartener.
