Cloudy With A Chance of Pink

I started this piece with 3 layers of (mostly pink) collage, which was covered in a thick layer of paint, dug into, then peeled away to reveal the layers beneath. I wrestled with this piece a lot and it went though several stages and a roller coaster of emotions. But I love how all that struggle shows up like a wall that’s been weathered with time, graffitied over, and weathered some more. The graffitied clouds were just the bold move needed to create a hero for that backdrop.
