This painting started out as a play board, where I use up the excess paint at the end of my sessions, to play and experiment with. It slowly evolved to this unusual-for-me overtly political piece. It’s actually more about the irony of things though... like that we live in a world that has both bombs and teddy bears. Lots of unique collage in here including a smiley face cupcake topper, vintage bingo card, an old Charles Atlas comic book ad, and a few more surprises!
